Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA) Announces
2007 Leadership Arts Program Graduation
Denver, CO – Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA) is pleased to announce the 11th graduating class of Leadership Arts. A graduation luncheon was held today at Denver Performing Arts Center complex.
Leadership Arts is an innovative CBCA program that trains business people in skills needed to serve on boards of directors of nonprofit cultural organizations and fosters the exchange of ideas and information between the arts and business sectors. This year’s 34 graduates represent a wide variety of organizations, among them: Arby’s ~ The Bailey Company, CH2M Hill, Colorado State Bank and Trust, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Ernst & Young, First Data Corporation, Holland & Hart, LLP, JohnstonWells Public Relations, Pinnacol Assurance, Rocky Mountain PBS and Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons, LLP.
The 2006-2007 program sponsors were Arby’s ~ The Bailey Company and Denver Foundation. “We support CBCA’s Leadership Arts program as a testament to our commitment to the Denver metro community and the economic contribution of the arts and cultural sector,” says Todd Bailey, Goodwill Ambassador, The Bailey Company.
Deborah Jordy, CBCA Executive Director, comments, “CBCA helps drive the arts engine in the Denver metro area through our Leadership Arts training. The program prepares talented business people to effectively serve on boards of directors of arts and culture organizations.”
Leadership Arts is also completing its second year in Colorado Springs in 2007.
